Ditch the Dingy Gym
Let's face it: Exercise isn't very exciting. You usually have to make the most of it and remind yourself constantly why you are making yourself so uncomfortable.
The most comfortable way you can exercise, though, is in the comfort of your very own home. It's way better than any gym!
Why you may ask? Well, it's pretty obvious. Working out at the gym is embarrassing (if you don't have a perfect body), frustrating, gross, and inconvenient.
If you are overweight (or underweight) and step into a gym, you kind of feel like all eyes are on you because in your mind, you have the worst body there. So even though swimming is great exercise, it’s totally out of the question! It's hard to exercise when you are feeling that badly about yourself. At home, you don't have to worry about the guys with 97 inch arms looking at you or worry about what you wear.
Going to the gym is frustrating because it feels like you're constantly waiting on something. You have to stand in line to prove your membership (that you sold your soul to the devil for) or pay the obscene fortune for an hour or 2 of exercise. Then you have to wait till your machine or exercise program is ready. Plus, some people are just plain rude! Making rude comments, doing inconsiderate things, and sometimes they even steal your stuff. It's all so frustrating!
The. Gym. Is. Disgusting. It's a bacteria farm! There are so many germs there. You have to use your hands with every single machine that you use. And more than half of the people there who actually use the machines usually don't wipe them off after they are done. So make sure you bring some anti-bacterial moist towelettes with you so you don't get staph, mono, or some other infectious disease.
Think about it; would you rather roll out of bed and exercise or change your clothes, do your hair, and drive all the way to the gym? Maybe if the gym gave you gas money it might be a little bit more worth it. But you can do yoga in your pajamas if you want.
Some people like the exercise equipment the gym provides. That's understandable. Treadmills and other exercise machines can be pretty expensive. But they aren't necessary to get in your daily exercise. At home, you can get all the exercise you need for free. Read more on exercises you can do at home at www.EasyHomeExercises.com.
